Steven was diagnosed, at the age of one, with cancer in one of his eyes. He was taken to Philadelphia to have the eye removed. He received a glass eye, which he promptly fed to his dog. It has since been replaced and he is doing well.

OUR MISSION . . .

<br/>OUR MISSION . . .

. . . is to stand up on behalf of the children. These young people remind us that our faith beckons us to aid the weakest of our community and to make their fight, our fight.

Hometown Heroes is dedicated to those kids that need some big friends. Our focus is to make these children and their families OUR families. "Big Kids Helping Little Kids" isn't just a slogan, it's a promise to make a difference in the lives of some kids that can use our help.

"The only thing you take with you when you're gone is what you leave behind."
